Easter is more than chocolate bunnies and colorful eggs—it’s a time of spiritual rejuvenation and celebration! As we enter Holy Week, we go on a journey of reflection, remembrance, and renewal.

The week leading up to Easter Sunday, also known as Holy Week, begins with Palm Sunday—a day commemorating Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem. It’s a reminder of the joyous welcome He received from the crowds as they waved palm branches and shouted, “Hosanna!”

Then comes Maundy Thursday, where we remember the Last Supper Jesus shared with His disciples. It’s a time to reflect on His humility in washing their feet and instituting the sacrament of communion. Good Friday follows, marking the crucifixion of Jesus. Though sad, it’s a day to remember His sacrifice and the immense love He showed for humanity.

But the story doesn’t end there! Easter Sunday brings the glorious celebration of Jesus’ resurrection from the dead. It’s a day filled with joy, hope, and new beginnings. As Christians, we believe that Jesus’ victory over death offers us eternal life and forgiveness of sins.

Throughout Holy Week, churches hold special services and events to honor these significant moments in Christian history. From palm processions to solemn vigils and joyful Easter services, each day offers an opportunity to deepen our faith and draw closer to God. This year, Winners’ Worship Center will host three days of Prayer, Evangelism, & Worship in collaboration with Worship United Church.

So, as we celebrate Easter this year, let’s remember the true meaning behind the holiday. It’s a time to rejoice in the hope and renewal that Jesus’ resurrection brings—a reminder that even in our darkest moments, there is light and life everlasting. Happy Easter!
